Day 14 & 15 - Spring Garden Planting and more company.

Wednesday I was excited to have Liz'a fruit cake for breakfast, she makes a good fruit cake.

The weather has been outstanding, sunny and around 70F.  June and Randy had a good time planting the garden. It will be another 2 months before we even think about planting at home.

While June and Randy planted, I did a repair on several of the compartment doors on the Falcon. Eventually, I will replace all of the factory cables which are prone to failure with a similar mechanism.  I need to send this solution to Leisure Travel Vans, it is a $3 spring from tractor supply with a cable down the center.  Much better than what they implemented.

The weather has been spectacular and we have done a few nice walks around the neighbor hood and Randy's property.

On Thursday I actually had to work the morning, but it was kind of a down day, so no big deal. Around 11AM brother Rich from the Chicago area rolled in, he will spend a few days with us.  Then around 13:30 Randy and I set off for the Atlanta airport to pick up Gabe and Cass, about 100 miles.  All went smoothly and we were back by 4PM.

Sue had cooked a spiral ham and it was make your own samich time...yum yum.

We had a nice evening catching up.  I am not sure what Friday will bring, but I am sure we will enjoy it, more 70F and sunny.

  2. I really enjoyed planting the garden, good practice for my own garden which probably won’t happen for another 2 months....at least. Glad everyone is here now. Let more fun begin.
